EIR Code and AED
The School's EIR Code has been fixed to a license plate on the front wall of the school. This will be accompanied by the AED Emergency sign in the coming weeks. In the event of a medical emergency, please provide the EIR Code to the emergency services upon dialling 999. The Defibrillator is located on the wall at Ms. Shanahan's door. A list of local contacts who have received CPR training recently is located with the Defibrillator. Many thanks to the Parent's Association for organising this training and Mike Mulligan for erecting our license plate.

Child Protection
Each school country wide has been directed to publish on their website, a "Child Safeguarding Risk Assessment" and "Child Safeguarding Statement", along with a link to the Department of Education's Child Protection Procedures 2017. These can be viewed on our website under the "Child Protection" tab and our thanks to Wendy Mc Bride for updating online.

Spelling Bee Champion, Co. Offaly
Congratulations to 5th class pupil Oisín Mackin, who recently won the Co. Offaly, Spelling Bee competition and who will now represent Offaly in the National Competition. Best of luckOisín.

St. Patrick's Day Parade
Parade leaving Rhode GAA field this Saturday morning at 10am sharp. Many thanks to all parents for their availability and ensuring Ballybryan NS plays a big part on the day. Special thanks to our school staff, Ava Molloy who is helping us with music, Martina Egan for her work on costumes and Jenny Mulligan and pupils from the school, particularly Sheena Fallon, on their brilliant work with our float.

Clothes Collection
Clothes Collection this Wednesday March 14th. Please provide what you can. Clothes only. Money generated goes directly to the school and is greatly appreciated

School Twitter Page
The school is in the early stages of developing a Twitter Account to give parents and the community an opportunity to view the brilliant work that is being done in the school. Information from our website will be copied to our page also. Please feel free to follow and share what is displayed. We also hope to set up a facebook page shortly. Data Protection is of critical importance to us and no children will not be named unless explicit consent is obtained before-hand.Twitter handle @BallybryanNS

School Closure
The school will be closed on Monday April 9th for an in-service day on Child Protection

Sponsored Walk
Our Annual sponsored walk will be taking place at Mountlucas Wind Farm on Tuesday May 1st. We will be relying on lifts from parents/guardians please. More details to follow.

Huge and well deserved congratulations to Ms.Smullen on receiving her Diploma recently. Ms. Smullen has put in enormous work and we are delighted for her.

Rhode Óg
Rhode Óg U7's boys (born 2011/2012) has started back in Croghan Astro turf from 5-6pm every Saturday. Game time for everyone... New players are very welcome. Please Contact Joe Kilmurray for more information 0867713833
Huge Thanks to Stephen Glennon for his very generous donation of school equipment which will be put to good use. Thanks also to Ger Whelan of Rhode Construction for replacing damaged tiles on the school roof.
