Catholic School’s Week

Catholic Schools Week runs from Monday 28^th January until Friday, February 1^st. We will be celebrating our Grandparent’s Day Mass on Thursday 31^st January at 11:15am. Tea, coffee and refreshments will be served afterwards in the hall and all are welcome. Grandparents are also invited to visit their grandchildren in the classrooms after the mass.

The school will be making St. Brigid’s Crosses which will be blessed during the mass. We very gratefully accept any rushes you can provide us with.

Confirmation for 6^th class pupils will take place in St. Peter’s Church, Rhode on Friday April 12^th.

School Closure

The school will be closed on Monday May 20^th for a DES sanctioned in-service day. The is the week following the First Holy Communion. A reminder will be sent out later to the date. First Holy Communion will take place on Saturday, May 18^th.

Rhode Clean up

A huge word of thanks to everyone who supported and helped with the recent clean up in Ballybryan and across Rhode Parish.

Swimming

Swimming for all pupils,(junior infants to 6^th) will take place over a six-week period beginning on Wednesday May 1^stand continue every Wednesday until June 5^th. More details to follow.

Ballybryan, 60^th anniversary

This year marks the 60^th anniversary of Ballybryan National School. We will be commemorating this at the Rhode, St. Patrick’s Day Parade and at a school event later in the year. More details to follow.

Homework Club

There will be no homework club on Monday February 4^th due to a Staff Meeting.

Computers

Computer classes will commence for 2^nd- 6^th class pupils on Friday February 15^th and run for an 8 week block each Friday, finishing on April 5^th. Lessons charged at €1.25/ week
